Every Elective is designed to ensure the comfort and ease of our students while maintaining a consistent standard of what’s included across all courses.
While each Elective may have unique specifics—outlined on the individual course pages—all programs provide the same key elements. If you have questions or need assistance with something not mentioned here, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What’s Included
Accommodation: Single occupancy room in a 4-star hotel
If you’d like to share a room with a partner or friend, discounts may be available depending on the location and timing of your Elective—contact us for details.
Field Seminars: Course materials; entrance fees for all visits and activities.
Meals: Daily continental breakfast, Welcome Dinner, Farewell Dinner.
Transportation: Inter-city transportation and, when necessary, local transportation to all Field Seminar activities, and Welcome & Farewell dinners.
Not Included: Airfare, airport transfer, mandatory travel insurance, meals and local transport not specified above, tips.
What to Expect
Course Preparation: One month before your Elective begins, you will receive a suggested reading list and details about available Extracurriculars. Two weeks before, you will receive your final itinerary and course syllabus.
Communications: Students are encouraged to set up a local data plan for their phone and download WhatsApp for easy communication with the Facilitator and cohort. Pre-course materials will include information on local data plans.
Medical & Dietary Information: Participants are required to complete a form detailing any life-saving or life-sustaining medications and dietary requirements. Facilitators will communicate dietary needs to restaurants and hotels in advance.
Travel Insurance: All participants must have travel insurance. Suggested providers will be included at the time of enrollment.
